Streetball

General rules

• Each company can be represented by only one team 

• Each team may consist of both female and male players

• Each team will consist of 3 players. The number of substitute players is unlimited

• Matches may be started and completed with only 2 players, but not with only 1 player

• Matches will be played outdoors, on a standard street ball court. In case of unsuitable weather the matches will be moved indoors and starts around 12:00

• Each game will be played 15 minutes or until a team has scored 16 points

• Each team is allowed one 30-sec time out

• Substitution of players is permitted only when the ball is not in play. There is no limit to the number of substitutions

• A shot made from outside of the 3-point line (a circle of 6,25m according to FIBA) will count as 2 points. All other successful shots count as 1 point

• A coin toss will determine the ball possession at the beginning of the game

• The ball must be checked by an opposing player before it is put into play. The ball must be passed to a teammate to begin play.

• The ball will change possession after a team has scored

• After change of possession, a pass out of the 3-point line is obligatory before any shot. Failure to take the ball beyond the 3-point line prior to an attempted shot will result in the loss of possession and the loss of any points resulting from that possession

• Technical foul will be followed by a free throw. If the free throw is successful, the ball changes possession

• In other cases the FIBA rules will apply

Competition

• Streetball is a team competition

• Eight competitor teams are divided by draw into 2 groups

• Teams score 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a defeat

• In case two teams score equally within a group, the deciding factor is the result of the match of these two teams against each other.

• If the result is still tied, the difference between thrown and received points in previous matches, then the number of points scored in previous matches will be used for deciding the order of the teams.

• If all factors are equal, the order of the teams within the pool is decided by drawing lots

• The game of the knockout phase shall be won by the team first scoring 16 points.

• All the points scored in the streetball tournament will be counted towards the general ranking (1^st place is 4 points, 2^nd place is 3 points, 3^rd place is 2 points, 4^th place is 1 point)
